Itinerary - Siem Reap Tour

Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel (rooms may not be ready until afternoon). After check-in and freshening up, you will start your exploration of Siem Reap with a visit to the Roluos Group, an ancient capital dating back to the late 9th and early 10th centuries. Here, you will visit the Lolei temple, famous for its statues of the Hindu god Shiva, the Bakong temple, known for its unique pyramidal shape, and Preah Ko, the first temple built by the Khmer kings. The temples’ architecture and history will take you on a journey of the ancient Khmer capital.
After a busy morning, you will return to your hotel for lunch.
Start your afternoon visit with the Angkor National Museum to learn about the ancient Khmer Kingdom. Then, you will embark on a scenic drive out of Siem Reap and into the lush countryside of Cambodia, which will take approximately an hour to get to the first stop of the day, Banteay Srei, a stunning red sandstone temple from the 10th century, known for its intricate carvings of Hindu gods and its beautiful pink hue.
Next, you will visit a nearby village where you can witness the traditional way of producing palm sugar, which is a sweetener made from the sap of the palms that grow in Southeast Asia. You will have the chance to interact with locals, learn from them, and gain insights into their daily lives.
Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before returning back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Angkor Thom Complex including Angkor Wat
After breakfast you will start your exploration of the Angkor Thom complex, built in the 12th century. You will visit the South Gate which is one of the five entrances to the ancient capital and take a stroll through the Bayon temple, famous for its unique smiley-faced stone carvings. Next, you will visit Baphuon temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
After a busy morning, you will return to your hotel for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit Senteurs d’Angkor, a Cambodian souvenir shop specializing in scents, spices, soaps, and other handmade products that are ethically sourced, produced, and packaged. Here, you can experience the true essence of Khmer aromas, and explore the complex creative process behind the locally-made products.
The day will continue with a visit to the most famous, Angkor temple, the architectural masterpiece, Angkor Wat, and watch an incredible sunset. This temple was built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman 11 as a dedication to the Hindu god Vishunu.
Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before returning back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Ta Prohm famously featured in the Tomb Raider movie and Preah Khan temple
Wake up early for a special sunrise experience at Srah Srang, a large artificial reservoir decorated with magnificent stone carvings of the elephant and garuda. Early visit to the temple of Ta Prohm, where trees grow out of the ruins and famously featured in the Tomb Raider movie.
Return to your hotel for breakfast.
You will head to Prasat Kravan, a small Hindu temple complex known for its unique bas-reliefs depicting Vishnu and Lakshmi. Banteay Kdei, another temple complex built in the Bayon-style will be the temple that you will visit next before going to Eastern Mebon and Pre Rup temples. Eastern Mebon is a temple-mountain dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, and Pre Rup is a temple mountain made entirely of brick and is known for its beautiful sunset views.
Returning to your hotel for lunch.
After lunch, you will visit Neak Pean, a small island temple built in the middle of a pool. Visit Preah Khan, a former Buddhist university, is the last temple you will visit followed by a visit to the smaller temple of Ta Som. You will continue your exploration of Angkor at Banteay Samre temple, located in a less crowded place, provides a peaceful atmosphere and stunning photo opportunities.
Dinner with Apsara dance show will be served at a local restaurant before returning back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
The great lake of Tonle Sap and Les Artisans d’Angkor – Chantiers Ecoles
After breakfast at your hotel, take an ox-cart ride, explore a captivating floating village where you can immerse yourself in the local culture. Hop aboard a traditional wooden boat and venture out onto the majestic Tonle Sap Lake, an expansive body of water known as the “Great Lake” of Cambodia and one of the largest in Asia. Marvel at the scenic views while experiencing the tranquillity of the surroundings.

- To enter the Angkor complex, visitors must have a passport-sized photo attached to any multiple-day entrance passes. While visitors can have their photo taken at the entrance checkpoint without an additional charge, it is recommended to bring a passport photo beforehand.
- While making air ticket reservations, guests must provide their full names as they appear in their passports. Keep in mind that airfares and reservations may change until they have been paid in full and ticketed.

- Visitors must have a valid passport with at least six months of validity beyond their intended stay in Cambodia and one passport photo for visa purposes.
- The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda are open daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM (closed to new visitors at 10:45 AM) and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (closed to new visitors at 4:45 PM), except during religious ceremonies or Royal rituals.
- The Toul Sleng Genocide Museum is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the last admission is at 4:45 PM.
- The National Museum in Phnom Penh is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and visitors cannot enter after 4:45 PM
- For sightseeing tours, it is recommended that visitors wear light and comfortable clothing, walking shoes, and use sunscreen lotion and hats. While many tourists wear shorts and sleeveless shirts, it is essential to respect Cambodian culture and tradition by wearing suitable clothing. Knees and shoulders must be covered when visiting temples and pagodas, including the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh. Visitors who do not comply with these rules of conduct may be denied entry, and shoes (and hats) must be removed before entering pagodas.
- When buying jewelry in Cambodia, visitors should use caution as it is commonly below international standards for design and workmanship. It is prudent not to follow any recommendations, as many gems are counterfeit.
- Certain parts of the touring programs are outsourced to independent third parties such as airlines, hotels, local suppliers, and transport operators. The Tour Specialists of Cambodia is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage occurring outside of the normal touring programs, including those caused by delay, accident, natural disasters, and political unrest. Additionally, any expenses incurred by tourists due to these conditions should be borne by them.
- Due to frequent flight changes, delays, and cancellations by domestic airlines, it is not guaranteed that the proposed itinerary will be executed as planned.
